If you've been looking to play Minecraft with your gamers on the Apple TV, it's time to get your groove on. "Realms", Minecraft's subscription-based multiplayer, is now added to the Apple TV version. This version is also updated to include Xbox Live authentication support that allows players to access their linked avatars, skins for characters, and other data. Realms accounts are like buying the Minecraft server. However the account is run by Microsoft and you don't have to worry about hosting or IP addresses. You have complete control over who can visit your private Minecraft Realm. You don't have to worry about people visiting your Minecraft Realm, and then destroying it while building crazy recreations of King's Landing in Game of Thrones. For $3.99 and $7.99 respectively, you can create a Realm for two or 10 players. Users of existing Realms subscriptions for Mac, Linux, or PC will not be allowed to play with their iOS and Apple TV brethren. There are Just another wordpress site : one for PCs, and one that is compatible with iOS and Android users. We reached out to see whether there are plans to connect the two systems. The procedurally-generated worlds of Minecraft deserve to be explored with others; now Apple TV and iOS fans have a chance to do just that... as long as they stick to their own platform.
